Introduction:
Did you know that you can seamlessly connect from the Maasai Mara to the gorillas of Bwindi? Depart the Mara at 08:15, arriving in Entebbe by 10:30 via Kisumu for customs and immigration, before an afternoon flight to the world-renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park—home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Alternatively, you may depart from Nairobi and arrive in Entebbe at a similar time.
Itinerary: –
DAY 01: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve
Breakfast at your camp in the Mara and check-out. Thereafter, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Entebbe International Airport, routing via Kisumu for customs and immigration formalities. The flight departs the Maasai Mara at 0815 hrs and arrives in Entebbe at 1030 hrs. Upon arrival, you will connect to the afternoon flight to Kihihi Airstrip, departing at 1300 hrs and arriving at 1530 hrs. Kindly note that baggage is limited to 15 kg per person in soft-sided duffel bags. Upon arrival at Kihihi airstrip you will be met by the Buhoma Lodge representative and drive to the lodge (approx. 90mins). Check in and have the rest of the day at your leisure

DAY 02: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve – 01st Gorilla trek
Depart early from the lodge to the trailhead in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your mountain gorilla trekking experience. After a briefing on gorilla behaviour, safety, and the family you will track, your adventure begins. The trek can be strenuous, lasting from 30 minutes to most of the day, depending on the gorillas’ location. Coming face-to-face with mountain gorillas—one of the world’s most endangered species—is a truly unforgettable wildlife encounter. You will observe them in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and interact, from energetic youngsters to dominant silverbacks. Visits are limited to one hour to minimize disturbance, allowing ample time for photography and observation. After the trek, return to base and transfer back to your lodge

DAY 03: 2nd Gorilla Trekking and overnight in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will follow the same program as the previous day with a different gorilla family.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your scheduled light flight (takes approx… 90 minutes) departing at 0845 hrs and arriving at 1125 hrs. (baggage allowance is strictly 15 kg in soft-sided duffel bags) back to Entebbe arriving in time to connect on your international flight back to home.
