DAY 01: Arrival in Kilimanjaro / Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. If you wish to exchange currency, we recommend doing so at the airport for convenience. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your journey.

Overnight: Kahawa House

DAY 02: Depart for Tarangire National Park

In the morning, we drive to Tarangire National Park, where wildlife sightings begin as soon as we enter. The park is dotted with iconic baobab trees some ancient and massive in size. Tarangire is best known for its large elephant herds and is a key dry-season refuge for thousands of these gentle giants. You may also spot impala, buffalo, leopard, and kudu, along with a rich variety of birdlife, with over 300 species recorded. Afternoon game drive.

DAY 03: Tarangire National Park

Spend the day with unlimited game drives exploring Tarangire National Park, famed for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park is shaped by the Tarangire River, a vital dry-season water source that sustains its rich wildlife. With diverse habitats ranging from grasslands and floodplains to woodlands and riverine areas, Tarangire offers excellent game viewing and a truly rewarding safari experience.

DAY 04: Tarangire National Park / Ngorongoro Crater via Lake Manyara

Breakfast at your camp and check-out. Thereafter, you drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a gamer drive. A packed lunch will be provided en-route. At about 1600hrs drive on to Ngorongoro Crater which is another 1.5 hrs. Rest of the evening at your leisure.

DAY 05: Full day Ngorongoro Crater tour

After breakfast, descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for game drives and spend the remainder of the day in one of the most spectacular and beautiful wildlife areas in the world. Ngorongoro, the largest unbroken crater on earth, is a veritable Garden of Eden. The year-round grazing and fresh water available here provide a permanent home for approximately 23,000 large mammals. Herds of Wildebeest, Common Zebra, African Buffalo, and both Grant’s and Thomson’s Gazelles mingle as they feed in this serene setting. With almost 100 Lions, masses of Spotted Hyena, and numerous Golden, Silver-backed and Side striped Jackals, the crater also has the highest concentration of carnivores on Earth. For some yet to be explained reason, only male Elephant are normally found on the crater floor. In the lakes and marshes, you look for Nile Hippo, Waterbuck, Black Rhino, and any of the more than 220 bird species that have been seen here including Greater and Lesser Flamingos.

DAY 06: Ngorongoro Crater tour / Serengeti National Park – Central

In the morning you descend from the crater highlands and drive across the Serengeti, the largest and most famous of Tanzania’s superb national parks, with the greatest and most spectacular concentration of large mammals to be found anywhere on Earth. This will be your home for the next 2 nights.

DAY 07 & 08: Two (2) full days in Serengeti National Park – Central

Two full days in Serengeti in the larger central area with unlimited game drives. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s most famous park, renowned for its vast plains and extraordinary concentration of wildlife. It hosts over two million large mammals, including the iconic herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles that move in a continuous migration in search of fresh grazing. Explore this remarkable ecosystem on morning and afternoon game drives, with optional visits to culturally significant Maasai sites.

DAY 09: Serengeti National Park – Central / Ndutu

Enjoy your last morning game drive in this vast savannah land. Back to the camp for breakfast and check out. You will cross over to Ndutu which is under 2 hrs drive. It is a prime wildlife area in the southern Serengeti and northern Ngorongoro ecosystem, famed as the epicentre of the annual wildebeest calving season. From late December to March, thousands of newborn wildebeest and zebras flood the grassy plains, attracting predators and creating dramatic predator-prey action. Its short grass plains, shallow lakes, and seasonal wetlands provide ideal grazing for the herds, making Ndutu one of the most thrilling safari destinations in Africa for witnessing life, survival, and the circle of nature up close.

DAY 10 & 11: Ndutu

Spend two days here with unlimited game drives. Morning and afternoon game drives will take you to different areas, depending on where your guides feel you have the best chances of seeing exceptional wildlife. They may suggest you rise early and return for a late breakfast, or you may depart with a picnic lunch and spend the day away from camp. The order of your days may vary, but one thing is guaranteed – you will see lots of mammals, birds, and other wildlife.

DAY 12: Drive back to Arusha and outbound departure

Breakfast at your camp and check-out. Begin your drive back to Arusha with a stopover for lunch at the African Art Gallery around the Manyara Area. Arrive at Airport Planet Lodge for day-use rooms to freshen up before your transfer to the airport for your international flight, concluding what we hope has been a memorable safari in Tanzania.
